Comments from our Guest Book

“We've had such a lovely time - thank you so much! The cottage was perfect, and such beautiful surroundings. We had an amazing walk one day from Keld to Muker (pronounced Mew-ker, NOT Mucker as we thought!). Around 6 miles, but not too difficult and such gorgeous scenery. The King's Head pub is lovely, and we also enjoyed a drink at the Tan Hill pub - highest in England, apparently, and serves lovely bitter, with tame chickens and ducks who sit at the table with you. Thank you again so much, and see you again soo, we hope?”
Charlie and Pip - two London girls in the country.

“Relaxing couple of days, much needed. We had a lovely walk along the brook, beautiful surroundings. Love the fire, felt great when I managed to light it without firelighters on the first night. A very relaxing time was had, just what the doctor ordered. PS the lights all went out, very frightening, but us girls managed to find the fusebox and all was bright again!!”
Janey and Trace, Leeds.

“Lovely cottage in fabulous village. Loved the walk through the meadows along the river. Even saw a kingfisher and a heron. Thank you very much for all and hope to be back again soon - certainly not waiting another 15 years! Great that so many pubs and tearooms let you take your dog inside.”
Simon, Amanda and Mole.

“This was the first time that we had stayed in Gunnerside, despite being frequent visitors to Swaledale. The people in the pub were very friendly and welcoming and the cottage is cosy. Many thanks.”
Jane Allison, Nottingham.
