A wonderful two-bedroomed home from home

Nestling in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Langthwaite is an ideal centre for walking, mountain biking, touring the Northern Dales or simply relaxing. It is the picture postcard village of the Dales and has been the setting for many television programmes and films including All Creatures Great and Small and A Woman of Substance. A car is considered essential for stays in Arkengarthdale, as there is no bus service within the dale (Swaledale buses stop in nearby Reeth). The Red Lion in the village and the nearby CB Inn serve great food and drink in characterful settings. Reeth is a few miles away, where you can find a wide variety of pubs, cafes, shops and a small market on Fridays. Recycling facilities are available at Langthwaite and Reeth.
