Enjoy its rustic charm in the spacious upstairs living/dining room, with exposed rafters, giving you marvellous views of the hills whilst tucked up in front of the stove. Sink into the comfort of a king-size bed at the end of a day spent exploring the beautiful scenery right from your door!

Lovely two-bedroomed hideaway

Gunnerside is the gateway to Upper Swaledale, its quaint Dales stone cottages creating a wonderfully old-fashioned atmosphere. The village community pub and café / bistro serve good food (bistro open Wednesday/Saturday evenings, book in advance) and you can buy ice-creams in summer at the Smithy Museum. A wonderful variety of walks and treks start and end in the village, with local shops, craft shops, galleries, museums, pubs, tearooms and an open farm in nearby villages. Post office, Friday market and recycling facilites available at Reeth, 6 miles. Bike hire at Fremington, 7 miles. Orange (only) mobile (patchy) reception.
