With stunning views over the River Swale and down the dale, Nettlebed is a gorgeous cottage with a quirky old-fashioned atmosphere. A detached house in a rural countryside setting, the house is nevertheless not far from the villages of Low Row and Gunnerside. Wonderfully comfortable, with an open fire, it oozes character and charm with its flagged floors and 300-year-old beams. The cottage is tastefully decorated, with many paintings and artefacts, and perches on the hillside above Swaledale, with a panoramic vista spread out below. Approach Nettlebed with a spirit of adventure and you won't be disappointed! Spend your days out on the surrounding hills, soak up the sun in the lovely south-facing garden or snuggle up inside relaxing in front of the fire. Nettlebed is the perfect cottage for a holiday in beautiful Swaledale!

A separate utility room has plenty of space for muddy boots and wet coats. With three large bedrooms, sleeping 8 in total, Brookside Cottage is ideal for family holidays or a quiet retreat for couples in romantic Arkengarthdale. Central heating and an open fire (coal included) mean the house is warm and cosy and separate dining and living rooms provide plenty of space. There is parking for three cars and private sunny garden seating overlooking the pretty stream opposite the house. High Bents

Perched on a hillside overlooking Gunnerside, High Bents has fabulous panoramic views of upper Swaledale, surrounded by magnificent scenery. Formerly two lead miners’ cottages, the house is lovingly restored, but retains its cottage atmosphere, with original features such as stone spiral stairs, a massive stone fireplace and traditional beamed ceilings. It has a well-equipped, lovely farmhouse kitchen and cosy sitting room with gas stove and comfortable furniture. Sleeping 6 + 2, plus baby, this wonderful home has an enclosed flagged terrace on which to sit and admire the stunning landscape spread out below - after a holiday at High Bents you'll never want to leave!

High Bents is reached by a steep, winding single-track road, with at least one very tight bend. Please see FAQs for details about accessibility and/or ring us for advice. Bookings are made under the proviso that you may need to walk up and down the hill from the village if your car cannot negotiate the road to the cottage.

Manfield

Enjoying stunning views over Gunnerside meadows and hills, Manfield is a roomy three-bedroomed cottage set in a very quiet cul-de-sac in the village. Beautifully decorated with tasteful detail, the house is recently refurbished to an excellent standard, with many modern conveniences, whilst retaining all its original dales charm. With lots of space for families, separate dining and living rooms (each with a TV) mean fewer arguments! Walks ramble direct from the door over surrounding hills and ghylls, after which you can relax and soak up the evening sun on the large, private south-facing terrace. A detached barn conversion in a tiny cul-de-sac in Reeth, Crow Hall has stunning views overlooking the River Swale and hills beyond, yet is only a few minutes' walk from the centre of this bustling village with its local shops, pubs and tearooms set around the village green. The cottage itself is beautifully comfortable and spacious, with a downstairs bedroom and shower room for those less mobile, and upstairs bedrooms and family bathroom. Coal and logs are included for the character open fire and pretty decor makes Crow Hall a truly warm and attractive home from home.
